Jean Dinh Van, the founder, was a French Vietnamese jeweler. His success with the two-pearl ring led to his selection as one of the four leading French jewelers and an exhibition in Montreal. This contributed to his co-ordinating with Cartier in New York; designs now being signed “Cartier Dinh Van”. After a short while, the brand’s distribution progressed to all over North America.
