Meister jewelry was established in 1897, in Zurich, by Emanuel Peter; the artisan who created the seamless wedding ring. The brand is famous for its expertise in the designing of luxury engagement rings and wedding rings; an ages-old internationally renowned name in jewelry creations. In 1950, Heinrich Meister entered the company; collaborating with Hans Elmer, between 1963 and 1974, the two successfully acquired popularity for their famous monogram and crested rings.
In 1965, Theo Meister joined the business to create internationally sensational wedding rings and designer jewelry. He went on to enhance the expansion of the company and launched the “happiness” brand of wedding rings within Switzerland. This was an addition to the existing international Meister brand of wedding rings. Apart from this, there are Meister men’s accessories and elegant Meister jewelry collections. His wife, Lydia Meister, plays a prominent part in the philosophy and designing of the magnificent jewelry pieces. The brand’s jewelry creations are exported to markets in Japan as well as other foreign countries.

In 1995, Meister undertook a fresh start with its head office relocating from Zurich to Wolleru on Lake Zurich. The move was undertaken to further strengthen and promote the brand’s leading role in the wedding ring category. The new establishment possesses top ecological standards, the architecture of the building itself is looked upon as an inspiration for the production of new jewelry collections. In 2008, Fabian Meister was appointed Company Director with Theo Meister becoming President of the Board of Directors.
